Day 1:
Arrival to Leticia at Vasquez Cobo airport, from there we take you by road 11 kilometers to our natural reserve, where you can enjoy a grilled fish for lunch a typical Amazon meal. In this place we can talk about your expedition, review the activities schedule and then we´ll make a short walk through the jungle to the tree house where you’ll spend the night.
After the installation arrangements and a short break at the cabins, one of our guides will take you to a night walk through the jungle where you can appreciate the jungle’s nocturnal wild live. For dinner we´ll serve you a delicious pizza “a la Amazonas” and afterwards your guide will bring you back to the tree house.
Day 2:
After breakfast you´ll do the canopy tour.
There are 4 observation platforms connected with steel cables and a hanging bridge . The access to the first platform is by rope climbing. Crossing from one platform to another is through a zip line, by which you practically “fly” from tree to tree. Descend is done from the last platform by rappel.
After finishing the canopy tour you we´ll continue with a jungle expedition of approximately 2 hours, from Tanimboca reserve to a nice house inside the jungle. This is the place where you will spend the night.
After lunch you walk to an Indian “maloca” (term for a traditional Indigenous house) in which several families lived together, sharing their culture and knowledge. During the afternoon the native guide will show and teach you about the traditional plants and their uses, how to build things with jungle materials and how to fish in the nearby river which is ideal to go swimming.
Day 3:
After breakfast, you`ll walk back to Tanimboca and get your things, then go to Leticia and get a boat which will take you up the Amazon river to a beautiful Natural Reserve on the Peruvian side of the river.
The way of getting to this Natural Reserve depends of the time of the year. During the dry season you`ll have to walk around 45 minutes through a path in the jungle. During the rainy season you`ll take a small canoe.
You`ll enjoy the time at this place, there are a lot of birds, monkeys and other wild live that can be easily observed, delicious meals and activities such as cannoning and hiking. The giant lotus flower and the huge Ceiba tree can be also seen. At night you’ll have the opportunity to go in search of caimans.
You’ll spend the night at “Marasha” natural reserve.
Day 4:
In the morning you`ll go back to the Amazon river and take a private boat, 80 kilometers to PUERTO NARIÑO.
On the way up the river you`ll stop in Macedonia an indigenous community specialized in wood carving.
In the afternoon you`ll go by boat to Tarapoto lakes to observe the pink and grey dolphins.
Enjoy the beautiful view and swim in these relaxing waters.
You`ll spend the night in Puerto Nariño.
Day 5:
Early morning you`ll start your trip back to Leticia.
Once in Leticia you`ll have some free hours to recognize the city, there is an ethnographic museum which you can visit and also the city of Tabatinga in Brazil. Transfer to Letician airport.
